In July 2026, Archimedes welcomed David Nathans to its leadership team as Executive Director.
David brings more than two decades of experience securing some of the world’s most complex and highly regulated environments. Before joining Archimedes, he served as Global Chief Information Security Officer at Stryker, where he led global cybersecurity strategy, security operations, threat intelligence, product security, and incident response programs designed to protect healthcare organizations and the patients they serve.
A former U.S. Air Force cyber officer and the author of Designing and Building Security Operations Centers, David is widely recognized for helping organizations translate cybersecurity strategy into operational resilience. His experience responding to major cyber incidents gives him a practical perspective on the challenges facing healthcare organizations and the connected technologies on which they depend.
As Executive Director, David leads Archimedes’ engagement with industry, government, researchers, healthcare providers, and medical device manufacturers to strengthen cybersecurity across the connected healthcare ecosystem. He helps shape practical conversations around resilience, collaboration, and the actions organizations can take together to better protect patients.
Under David’s leadership, Archimedes is building on its strong foundation to deepen collaboration, turn shared knowledge into meaningful action, and help create a more secure and resilient future for connected healthcare. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the Archimedes community and for its mission to protect the technologies, organizations, and people at the heart of patient care.
