Windows 10 End of Support Parade  Wednesday, May 1: 6:30 pm

Everyone loves a parade! Think beads, think fun, think a long-Minnesota goodbye! Join us as we march in our own funeral procession as we say a pre-farewell to Windows 10-NOLA-style.

The parade will exit the Hilton St Charles to the sounds of a traditional New Orleans brass band as the NOPD escorts with lights and sirens block St. Charles Avenue as guests follow the beat. At Poydras Street, the parade will turn left. The NOPD motorcycles will conduct a rolling street closure to block the traffic with a tail unit following behind. At Camp Street, the parade will turn left then proceed down Camp Street to Canal Street. We will cross Canal Street to Chartres Street and continue down to St. Peter Street and turn left. We will go one block to Royal Street and turn left. The parade will end at the entrance to the Court of Two Sisters. The brass band will move to the sidewalk and play as guests begin entering the restaurant. A street parade in New Orleans is a truly unique experience.

Section 524B Run:  Thursday, May 2: 6:15am

All event attendees (and fitness levels) are welcome to run, walk or simply cheer on participants in a "quick" sightseeing run! Join us Thursday May 2 at 6:15am to get your blood pumping and energy jumping!

The run is just under 5K making it a suitable distance for a fun run, whether you are a seasoned runner looking for a quick race or a casual participant looking for a pleasant run or walk through one of New Orleans' most picturesque areas.

The run is approximately 4.53 Kilometers (see map below) and covers a scenic route through the heart of New Orleans, encompassing several of the city's most well-known areas. The route begins just west of the French Quarter, near the Mississippi River, and makes its way into the bustling and historic French Quarter.

The route goes past notable landmarks such as the Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Louis King of France and near the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, adding cultural and educational points of interest to the experience. The proximity to these landmarks can make the run not only a physical activity but also a touristic journey through the heritage of New Orleans.

All levels are welcome and encouraged to participate to enjoy NOLA in a different way…bright and early! Participants can find additional details and register here:  https://forms.gle/9JyqGPUuiVsrQZvx5
